headtr1ck on playing for NAVI: "It's hard to fill in s1mple's shoes right away"

NAVI's academy player Daniil "headtr1ck" Valitov shared his first impressions on stepping in for the main team at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022, where he temporarily replaces Alexandr "s1mple" Kostyliev. In an interview with the club's press service, the 18-year-old AWPer noted that playing at the level of the Natus Vincere's star is not an easy task.

It's quite exciting. We play different roles. Sasha does a lot of work across the board and has tons of impact. It's hard to fill in his shoes right away and play his role flawlessly. All in all, I'm doing my best and I hope we can win our next games.

NAVI went to the LAN event in Copenhagen with a stand-in due to the absence of s1mple for personal reasons. According to the team's coach Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy, the Ukrainian esports athlete may return to the roster today, August 22.

NAVI finished the group stage of BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 in first place in Group B, thus securing the best seed in the final part of the tournament. You can follow up on the ongoing BLAST event on CSGO.com via this link.
