Rumors: former MIBR IGL to lead new Brazilian O PLANO lineup

Former MIBR's in-game leader Gustavo "yel" Knittel will continue his career with O PLANO, DRAFT5 reports.

yel has not shown up in professional matches since last October when he was removed from the MIBR starting roster. Four months after being benched, the esports athlete parted ways with the organization and became a free agent.

Knittel was MIBR's captain from January to October 2021. Under his guidance, the team had success at the regional level yet was not able to succeed at big international events.

In the O PLANO roster, yel will reunite with his former INTZ teammate Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe. According to journalists, playing alongside this duet will be Caike "caike" Costa and Guilherme "piria" Barbosa, who do not have much experience at a professional level. Former paiN player Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato is rumored to become the fifth member of the squad.

O PLANO was created in 2021 as a team of Brazilian players led by kNgV-. Subsequently, the esports athletes were signed by 00NATION, but the cooperation lasted less than six months. In April this year, Giuseppe revived O PLANO as his own organization.
