s1mple, sh1ro and Ax1Le become best players of the first half of 2022

HLTV.org has unveiled the top five players of the first half of 2022. Based on the individual rating, the top 5 was topped by NAVI's AWPer Alexandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and a Cloud9 duo Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov and Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov.

s1mple's rating over the past six months amounted to 1.30, while sh1ro and Ax1Le averaged a 1.27 and 1.23 rating, respectively. The top 5 closes the Danes Martin "stavn" Lund (Heroic, 1.22) and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer (Astralis, 1.20).

The ranking of the strongest esports athletes of the first half of this year took into account only matches against opponents from the top 20 of the world rankings. Besides, the list included only those who played more than 50 maps at this level.
