chopper on IEM Cologne 2022: "We gained a lot of experience. This tournament was successful for us"

Team Spirit's in-game leader Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov has summed up his team's run at IEM Cologne 2022 in a video on the club's YouTube channel. The captain believes that his squad has gained vital experience and can take this event to its credit.

I liked the time we had together, our focus while training, the atmosphere, our form, and everything we did. We've practiced Ancient only three times before the tournament, and we ended up playing it every game, and we were playing it quite confidently. For me, this is a sign that we have good potential and we need to work. We gained a lot of experience. This tournament was successful for us. If we make conclusions, and we will, we can be stronger, and it's true. It's not our first tournament, everyone is 17-20 years old, they all have burning eyes, and everyone plays CS:GO really well.

chopper also shared his opinion on the performance of the new Team Spirit's sniper Igor "w0nderful" Zhdanov in Cologne. He commended the prospects of the Ukrainian and expressed confidence that over time the 17-year-old will be able to have success playing in the tier 1 scene.

He showed himself well in this tournament He showed great potential, and I think he’ll be top-5 AWPers in the world, he's very strong.

Team Spirit finished IEM Cologne 2022 in 9-12th place. During the tournament, the team bested Complexity, 00NATION and Liquid, but was eliminated after two consecutive defeats by FaZe and FURIA.
