Report: G2 intend to replace Aleksib and XTQZZZ

G2 are looking into the transfer market to replace current in-game leader Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen and coach Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam, as reported by BLIX, citing sources close to the situation.

According to the information published, the reason for this decision was the insufficient results of the team under the guidance of Aleksib and XTQZZZ, both of whom joined G2 at the beginning of this year.

The renewed before the start of the current season squad did not manage to win a single trophy. The biggest achievements of G2 during this period were 2nd place at IEM Katowice 2022 and 3-4th place at BLAST Spring Final 2022, while at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, the European team was stopped a step away from the playoffs.

On May 7, G2 players Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač and Nemanja "huNter-⁠" Kovač extended their contracts with the organization, with the deal implying a long-term duration.
