Valve celebrates Counter-Strike beta version release anniversary
Today, June 19, marks the 23rd anniversary of the Counter-Strike beta version release. This event was noted by Valve on the official CS:GO Twitter.

The beta version of Counter-Strike was released on June 19, 1999, as a Half-Life mod. The authors of the original addition to Valve's product are Jesse Cliffe and Minh Le.
The release of Counter-Strike as a full-fledged game took place on November 9, 2000. In turn, CS:GO, which is the current version of the legendary shooter, was released on August 21, 2012.
