Thorin: CS:GO so badly needs a player break after each Major
Esports analyst Duncan "Thorin" Shields believes that the break on the CS:GO competitive scene should come right after the end of each Major, according to his Twitter.
CS:GO so badly needs a player break after each major. Expecting people to play a week later is silly and spoils the competitive level.

Shields' message was published shortly after FaZe suffered a crushing defeat by NAVI in the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 quarterfinal. This became the second consecutive unsuccessful tournament for the reigning Major champions. The first one was IEM Dallas 2022, where Finn "karrigan" Andersen's squad was also eliminated early in the playoffs.
According to the current competitive calendar, the next break will take place after IEM Cologne 2022, which will be held from July 5 to 17. The precise timing of the pause for all members of the professional community has not been set. For tier-1 teams, it will last until the start of ESL Pro League Season 16 at the end of August.
