HObbit denies allegations of match-fixing
Abay "HObbit" Khasenov from Cloud9 on his Twitter denied the accusations of involvement in match-fixing that appeared in the media earlier. According to the esports athlete, he values his reputation very much and has never been engaged in such activities.
Khasenov also expressed his readiness to help the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) investigation that had begun against him.
I have never been involved in match-fixing.
— Abay Khassenov (@HObbitcsgo) May 16, 2022
Fully prepared to assist in @ESIC_Official investigation.
All that i have achieved, i earned with my hard work and perseverance. My reputation is above all to me.
The accusations against HObbit were made by his former teammate from PARTY Rustam "5TRYK3R" Alimkulov. He claims that in 2015 the members of the Kazakh team agreed to fix certain matches.
HObbit’s statement about not being involved in match-fixing came a few hours before the next Cloud9’s match at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. Today, May 16, at 20:30 MSK, his team will face off against Imperial in the elimination match.
