Boombl4: "The Major made us forget about all external factors and focus on the game"
NAVI's in-game leader Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov spoke about the morale of his team amid the club management's statement about possible roster changes after the ongoing PGL Major Antwerp 2022. The Russian esports athlete emphasized that at the Major he feels the team’s cohesion, unlike in recent tournaments, where he felt the pressure.
In any case, each player is affected by this whole situation. At the last IEM Katowice and ESL Pro League, I thought more about all of that and there was no focus, but now the Major is in full swing and everyone is more focused on the tournament. This is a very important tournament. Probably, the Major somehow held us together, made us forget about all external factors and focus on the game. I feel that now we are playing as we can play, and only getting better as the tournament goes.
Earlier, Boombl4 admitted that his future in NAVI remains uncertain and will be decided after the Antwerp's Major. He may leave the team due to the decision of the club's management to terminate contracts with players who, during military action in Ukraine, continue to live in Russia and pay taxes there.
At PGL Major Antwerp 2022, the NAVI roster started directly from the Legends Stage, where they came out on top of G2 in the first round. The next opponents of the team will be BIG, the match against whom is scheduled for May 14, 21:30 MSK.
