Lucky to leave Astralis in mid-May following contract expiration

Danish AWPer Philip "Lucky" Ewald will officially part ways with Astralis in mid-May, when his contract with the club expires, the player tweeted.

I have been allowed to search for new opportunities by Astralis as my contract ends in mid may. I have learned so much at my time in Astralis and I can't wait to put it in great use somewhere else. I have been missing playing and I am more motivated than ever to get back to the top and play some good counter-strike again and show what I am really capable of, I am not even close to done yet!

Lucky joined Astralis in August last year, becoming a member of the roster, which then featured six people. The young esports athelte stepped in as a dedicated AWPer, passing on these duties to the team’s in-game leader Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander a few months later.

Having not achieved any success with Ewald, in February of this year, after IEM Katowice 2022, the Danish club put him on the bench and brought Asger "Farlig" Jensen as a replacement.
