ATK replace Sharks in BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 Americas participants list

The BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 organizers have announced the change in the list of participants in the American part of the tournament. Due to logistics problems, Sharks had to be replaced by ATK.

To take part in the BLAST event, the Sharks roster had to travel from Brazil to Mexico, but the tournament operator bought them the wrong tickets, the team’s in-game leader Jhonatan "jnt" Silva tweeted.

The IGL reported that it was BLAST who made the mistake, however, according to Dexerto, the tickets for the Brazilians were booked not by BLAST, but by the Latin American event organizer FiReSPORTS, which held the regional qualifiers for the Showdown tournament. To compensate for the current situation, BLAST representatives announced that they would give the team the spot in their fall Showdown event.

ATK replaced Sharks at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 based on their performance in the North American qualifiers for the tournament, which they finished second.

Tomorrow, April 28, at 23:30 MSK, ATK will kick off the Showdown event in a match against FURIA. In case of defeat, the team will be eliminated, while the victory will lead them to a meeting against the winner of the GODSENT – Evil Geniuses matchup.
