PGL Major Antwerp 2022 to be held without COVID-19 restrictions for spectators

During PGL Major Antwerp 2022, the spectators visiting the venue of the tournament will not be subject to any restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, the Major’s organizers tweeted, without specifying information about possible requirements for testing or vaccination of teams.

The prestigious event will be held from May 9 to 22 in Antwerp, Belgium. The playoffs in front of a live audience will be hosted by the 18,000-seater Antwerp's Sport Palace.

The upcoming Major will feature 24 teams. The tournament will start with the Challengers Stage, followed by the Legends and Champions Stages. The total prize pool of the competition adds up to $1 million, with half of this amount going to the winner.

On March 15, PGL announced the start of ticket sales for the Major, the price of which, depending on the day and the category of the ticket itself, ranges from €35 to €295. The company, however, has not reported on the number of tickets sold ever since.
