Kjaerbye returns to competition
Danish player Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye has returned to the professional CS:GO scene nine months after announcing departure. The Dane shared the news in an interview to Dexerto.
According to the esports athlete, he felt burned out when decided to retire, but as the time passed, he managed to regain his motivation.
Kjaerbye noted that the key to his return was constant work on physical and mental health. In the second half of last year, he worked as a barista in his father's cafe and also got a job as an intern at a firm providing psychological assistance. The Dane combined it all with regular physical activity.
During the interview, Kjaerbye did not outline the specific goals that he set for himself after returning to CS:GO. Right now, however, he has no offers from any teams.
Shortly before Kjærby announced his comeback, his name appeared in the announced for the upcoming RMR tournament Heroic's lineup. The 23-year-old has been named as a substitute.
