Aleksib returns to G2 at ESL Pro League Season 15

G2's in-game leader Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen has joined his team in the fifteenth season of the ESL Pro League taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany, the organization announced on Twitter.

The Finnish player was allowed to return to the squad after testing negative for coronavirus, due to which he had to miss the first matches of the tournament.

Without Virolainen, G2 won their debut meeting against LookingForOrg, but lost to MOUZ and fnatic in subsequent matches. All this time, the esports athlete was replaced by benched Francois "AMANEK" Delaunay.

Next up, G2 are set to face NIP. The match is scheduled for today, March 12, at 21:30 MSK.

After three matches played, Aleksib's team is currently in the penultimate place in Group A. In addition to Entropiq, the European roster will also take on NIP before the end of the group stage. Only three teams from the group will advance to the playoffs.
