Heroic, FURIA and GODSENT invited to BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022

The BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 organizers have officially announced that Heroic, FURIA and GODSENT have received direct invites to the tournament.

Initially, only two teams were supposed to receive direct invites, but BLAST expanded the number of spots to three due to the cancellation of the CIS qualifier. The already announced regional qualifier was canceled after BLAST banned Russian teams from participating in their tournaments amid the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine.

BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 will be held from April 27 to May 1. The championship will feature 16 teams competing for $135,000 and two tickets to BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022.

Besides Heroic, FURIA and GODSENT, the outsiders of the group stage MIBR, NIP, Astralis, Complexity, Liquid and Evil Geniuses have also secured berths in the tournament. The list of participants will be finalized following the results of Asian, North American, Iberian, Scandinavian, Western Europen, Eastern Europen and South American qualifiers.
