XTQZZZ to miss IEM Katowice 2022 playoffs as tested positive for COVID-19

G2’s coach Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam will miss the IEM Katowice 2022 playoffs after testing positive for coronavirus, the organization announced on Twitter, adding that the specialist is now in isolation.

During the decisive stage of the ongoing LAN event, XTQZZZ will be replaced by the team’s manager Jérôme "NiaK" Sudries. This will not be the first coaching experience for Sudries, as for seven months in 2018 the Frenchman has already coached the squad.

The news about XTQZZZ missing the playoffs of IEM Katowice 2022 came a few hours prior to the first match of the team, where the opponent of the Europeans will be Virtus.pro. The quarterfinal will take place today, February 25, and will kick off at 17:30 MSK.
