s1mple named BLAST Premier World Final 2021 MVP
Alexandr "s1mple" Kostyliev from NAVI was named the most valuable player of BLAST Premier World Final 2021 according to HLTV.org. The 24-year-old AWPer finished the victorious for his team championship with a 1.42 rating.
At the tournament, NAVI played 15 maps, only one of which the Ukrainian played with a rating below 1.0. The best result was on Mirage against G2 (2.21), while the worst one was on Inferno in a match versus Liquid (0.71).
This MVP medal became the eighth one for Kostyliev this year – this is a record number. Previously, he was awarded at such events as BLAST Premier Global Final 2020, DreamHack Masters Spring 2021, StarLadder CIS RMR 2021, IEM Cologne 2021, ESL Pro League Season 14, PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021.
BLAST Premier World Final 2021 was held from December 14 to 19 with eight teams participating. In the grand final, NAVI came out on top of Gambit.
