RpK retires from CS:GO

Former Vitality player Cedric "RpK" Guipouy has finished his esports career. The 32-year-old Frenchman announced this on his Twitter account.

According to the announcement of the ex-esports athlete, he is currently working on personal projects that will be announced in the near future. At the same time, RpK presented his merch line with the purpose of "preserving the legacy of Le Tank".

Guipouy has been playing on the professional Counter-Strike scene since 2007. He spent his first five years in CS: Source, where he made his name as a member of the VeryGames team, after which he continued his career in CS:GO, playing for such eminent French clubs as Titan, G2, Envy and Vitality.

Overall, RpK appeared on eight majors, once reaching the playoffs, and also became the champion of several big championships: ECS Season 1 Finals, cs_summit 4, ECS Season 7 Finals, EPICENTER 2019, IEM Beijing 2020 Europe, and BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals. It is also worth noting that together with Vitality he was the leader of the popular HLTV.org CS:GO team's ranking for 10 weeks.
