pita becomes a coach of Copenhagen Flames

Copenhagen Flames announced Faruk "pita" Pita as a new coach of the CS:GO roster on their official website. The 30-year-old specialist will replace Daniel "djL" Narancic, who left the team in July.

pita became known for his work with NIP, which he coached in 2014-2015, and from 2018 to 2020. Together with the team he won the ESL One Cologne 2014 major.

Last year, the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) banned pita for 10 month for abusing the spectator bug. Subsequently, the ban term was reduced to 5 and a half months. It was later reported that Valve decided to hand a life ban in major tournaments for the specialist.

Copenhagen Flames are currently participating in several online tournaments, the most significant of which is Malta Vibes Knockout Series 1. The team advanced to the semi-final, where will play against the winner of Lyngby Vikings – Entropiq matchup.
