Coach Nicolas "guerri" Nogueira stated that the reason for this decision was the psychological burnout of the player, who wanted to return to the USA to rest and recover his individual level. The specialist also cited communication problems as one of the reasons for the decision, since the English-speaking partner caused all members of the squad to switch to his language of communication. According to guerri, the team was slow to react to what was happening in the game, as they did not speak in their native Portuguese.
FURIA's best result was a 3-4 place finish at ESL Pro League Season 13 after signing junior earlier this year,. During that time, the American's average rating was 0.92.
honda joined FURIA in January 2021 as the sixth player. He participated in BLAST Premier Global Final 2020 (5th-8th place) and cs_summit 7 (7th-8th place), replacing junior, who had visa issues.
With the return of honda, the Brazilian squad will return to communicating in Portuguese. The next tournament for the team will be IEM Cologne 2021, which will be held from July 6 to 18.
