FURIA over G2 and Complexity close out VP at ESL Pro League S13
Brazilians from FURIA have easily breezed past G2 in the opening match of the second round at the ESL Pro League Season 13 playoffs. The meeting ended with a 2-0 score of 16:5 on Vertigo and 16:10 on Mirage. A notable fact about this match that none of G2 representatives have managed to rise above 1.0 rating by the end of the match, despite being an all-star team.
"Once the fast plays kept working and working, that’s FURIA’s special, right? So you run it until they can stop it and it looks like they couldn’t stop it." , Paytyn "junior" Johnson said after the match.
In the next match, Complexity have managed to earn a spot in the quarterfinals at the ESL Pro League Season 13 playoffs by outplaying scary CIS team Virtus.pro. After a shaky start on the first map, the European team defeated Virtus.pro eventually 2-1 - 9:16 on Mirage, 16:3 on Inferno, and 16:11 on Vertigo.
"We were expecting Vertigo as the third map. We've been practising it a little bit and trying to make our game plan way better. It's really hard to play Vertigo when you don't play it that much. We had great team play and good communication. We were playing off of each other. poizon was doing some amazing plays on the T side. It felt amazing." ,- Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke commented after match
