oBo joined Evil Geniuses
Evil Geniuses announced the signing of Owen "oBo" Schlatter. The 17-year-old rising star joined the North American roster as a free agent after parting ways with Complexity at the start of the year, and taking the place of former Valorant departed Ethan "Ethan" Arnold.
Schlatter has not been playing since September 2020, after the team has benched him following his unexpected decision to step down in the middle of the team's campaign in ESL Pro League Season 12 playoffs last September. The young American argued the decision was a desire to return from Europe to the United States and continue his career in his home region. The player announced that he was willing to consider offers from European teams a few months later.
oBo has represented Complexity since 2019. During that time, the team's main achievement was the victory at the BLAST Premier Spring 2020 European Finals.
Schlatter will make his ESL Pro League Season 13 debut at Evil Geniuses, where he and his new teammates will face Astralis, Liquid, Virtus.pro, fnatic and Endpoint in Group D March 25-29.
Current Evil Geniuses lineup:
- Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz
- Tarik "tarik" Celik
- Vincent "Brehze" Cajonte
- Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dmitrov
- Owen "oBo" Schlatter
- Wilton "zews" Prado (coach)
NA's chosen son is joining our ranks and ready to tap heads internationally.
