G2 return Jackz; allow kennyS to explore options
G2 have put Kenny "kennyS" Schrub on the bench and brought back Audric "JaCkz" Jug to its main lineup following a series of unsuccessful performances and poor game form of the team's star AWP player. The official statement was published on the Twitter account of the organization.
G2 has started choking following the decision to bench Audric "JaCkz" Jug, after signing Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač's cousin FaZe Clan star player Nikola "NiKo" Kovač. Kenny "kennyS" Schrub has been displaying some poor performance after that acquisition with his individual rating dropping to 0.98 across the four tournaments G2 has attended.
kennyS has been part of the team for four years, when he was signed by G2 alongside Richard "shox" Papillon and Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro, with the Envy core featuring Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, and himself. He is the only player who's left from the original line-up. His most notable achievements during the time he spent with the organization are wins at DreamHack Masters Malmo 2017 and ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals.
Audric "JaCkz" Jug, who has been benched since early December 2020, returns to the line-up to fill the role of the rifle and most-likely return to the duties of the in-game leader of the team. The sniper role will go to Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, who will perform in a mixed style of AWP and rifling.
G2's updated roster will debut at ESL Pro League Season 13, where it will play in the same group with Vitality, mousesports, FaZe, NIP and ENCE from March 13-18.
Current G2 lineup:
- Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
- Nemanja "nexa" Isaković
- François "AmaNEk" Delaunay
- Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
- Audric "JaCkz" Jug
- Damien "maLeK" Marcel (coach)
- Kenny "kennyS" Schrub (bench)
