IEM Katowice 2021 invites revealed

The organizers of the IEM Katowice 2021 announced the full list of teams invited to the main stage of the tournament. Slots went to Heroic, Astralis, G2, Vitality, NAVI, and FaZe, who joined FURIA and Evil Geniuses, who had previously received invites for the North American region.

Some participants of the Play-In stage have also been presented, which will be held before the main stage of the tournament. Based on regional ESL rankings, they are Complexity, fnatic, OG, Liquid, Chaos, Renegades, TYLOO and BOOM.

In the future, six teams invited by Wild Card will join the Play-In teams. The remaining two places will go to ESL Polish Autumn 2020 champion Illuminar and ESL European Championship Winter 2020 winner.

IEM Katowice 2021 will be held from 16 to 28 February. 24 teams will compete for the $1 million prize fund.
