Valve gave up plans for 2021 Spring Major
Valve gave up plans to hold the next major in the spring of 2021. This is reported portal HLTV.org with reference to the official press release of the CS:GO developer.
According to the Valve Tournament Calendar published in 2019, the Spring Major 2021 was to be held on May 10-23. Presumably, the reason for the decision to cancel the upcoming event was the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which previously led to the transfer of both majors in 2020.
Valve also announced the new dates of the Autumn Major 2021. The next championship, the organizer of which has already been determined, but was not named, is scheduled for the period from October 23 to November 7 and will be held in the European region.
However, it became known about the extension of the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) series, the format of which will be adjusted to take into account the feedback from tournament operators. At the moment, possible dates of regional competitions remain unknown.
