FURIA are the champions of IEM New York 2020

FURIA won the North American RMR tournament IEM New York 2020. In the final match the Brazilians with a score of 3:1 were stronger than 100 Thieves - 9:16 on Nuke, 16:14 on Inferno, 16:4 on Vertigo and 16:11 on Mirage.

In the group stages FURIA defeated Rebirth, Triumph, Evil Geniuses and ImPerium, and in the playoffs they were stronger than Liquid and Evil Geniuses. Andrei "arT" Piovezan's team received $25,000, 2500 RMR-points, and a slot at IEM Global Challenge 2020 for the victory.

For the organization of 100 Thieves Grand Final was the last match on the CS:GO professional stage. Previously, the management of American multi-gaming decided to part with the lineup and leave the discipline.

Also on the final day of the IEM New York 2020 was a match for third place, in which Evil Geniuses beat TeamOne - 16:5 on Inferno and 16:11 on Train.

IEM New York 2020 was the final qualifier for this year's major tournament. From the North American region, the invites will receive the top five teams.

Earlier Valve canceled ESL One Rio 2020 and announced additional RMR tournaments in 2021. In a press release, the company noted that LAN-events will only be possible if the epidemiological situation in the world improves.
