FunPlus Phoenix introduced general manager of CS:GO line-up
Petar "peca" Markovic became the general manager of teams in CS:GO and Valorant in the Chinese organization FunPlus Phoenix. Previously, the Serbian specialist worked as a coach and manager of CR4ZY, who until mid-2019 performed under the Valiance tag.
FunPlus Phoenix already has a Valorant team, whose captain is ex-captain of HellRaisers Kirill "ANGE1" Karasev, while the CS:GO line-up is to be built from scratch. In the coming weeks and months, we should expect major signings.
This is the second attempt by the organization to enter the professional stage of Valve's shooter. In March 2020, FunPlus Phoenix signed the composition of Heroic, but, as it turned out, the deal was not finalized and failed due to the transition of Patrick "es3tag" Hansen in Astralis.
Recall that FPX is one of the eight founding teams of Flashpoint. Along with Cloud9, c0ntact, Dignitas, Envy, Gen.G, MAD Lions and MIBR, the Chinese organization paid $2 million to buy back the franchise, which allowed to receive part of the League's revenue. According to preliminary information, the second season of Flashpoint will begin in late November.
