G2 & NiP to the semis at ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe
As part of the third quarterfinal match of the European part of ESL One Cologne 2020 G2 defeated OG and secured participation in the semifinals, which previously went out Vitality and Heroic. The match ended with a score of 2:1 - 16:6 on Nuke, 10:16 on Train and 19:17 on Dust2.
It should be noted that on the third card G2 players were loosing 9:15, but managed to come back and snatch victory in overtime.
The opponent of G2 in the semifinals will be Heroic - this match will run August 29 at 15:00 CET.
The second quarterfinal match of the day for the European part of ESL One Cologne 2020 between NiP and Astralis ended in favor of the Swedish team. It took two cards to determine the strongest - 16:10 for Train and 16:13 for Inferno.
The key role in NiP victory was played by Fredrik "REZ" Sterner, who showed a rating of 1.32. At the losing team stood out newcomer Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, who finished the series with a rating of 1.29.
On August 29 at 19:30 Moscow time NiP will meet with Vitality in the semi-final of the tournament. The best team of this pair will play in the Grand Final against the winner of the match Heroic - G2.
