Evil Geniuses & Liquid won starting matches at ESL One Cologne 2020

In the North American part of ESL One Cologne 2020 the first meetings of Group B took place, in which Evil Geniuses beat Triumph and Liquid coped with Cloud9. The winners will play a match for a playoffs spot,  and the losing teams will determine the one that will finish their tournament run.

Evil Geniuses took a 2-0 win over Triumph - 16:6 on Overpass and 16:5 on Inferno. In many ways this was due to the successful game of Bulgarian sniper Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov, who finished the series with a rating of 1.69.

В рамках североамериканской части ESL One Cologne 2020 прошли первые встречи группы B, в которых Evil Geniuses обыграла Triumph, а Liquid справилась с Cloud9. Победители сыграют в матче за выход в плей-офф, а проигравшие команды определят ту, что завершит выступление на турнире.

Evil Geniuses со счетом 2:0 взяла верх над Triumph – 16:6 на Overpass и 16:5 на Inferno. Во многом это произошло благодаря удачной игре болгарского снайпера Цветелина "CeRq" Димитрова, закончившего серию с рейтингом 1.69.

The encounter between Liquid and Cloud9 was more intense and ended in three cards in favour of Jack "Stewie2K" Yip - 17:19 on Overpass, 16:8 for Vertigo and 16:10 for Nuke. Captain Liquid, who took over the role after Canella's "nitr0" departure, stood out with a rating of 1.46, with a kill to death ratio of +28.
