HLTV.org: Astralis are aiming for Bubzkji

Astralis is negotiating with MAD Lions regarding the buyout of Lukas "Bubzkji" Andersen's contract, HLTV.org reports. The organizations are at the final stage and the 22-year-old is likely to join the new team before ESL One Cologne, which starts on August 18.

In late June, it was reported that Bubzkji was excluded from the main MAD Lions roster. The organization has not confirmed these rumors and only stated that it is in the process of reviewing the line-up, which will help achieve success in the future.

If Bubzkji is transferred, the Astralis roaster will expand to eight people. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and Andreas "Xyp9x" Hoycelet are now in inactive state, and the exact dates of their return are unknown. Without them, the Danish team fell out of the top 10 HLTV.org rankings for the first time since 2016. After a summer vacation, the first tournament for Astralis will be ESL One Cologne, where newcomer Patrick "es3tag" Hansen can debut.

As for Bubzkji, last year he proved to be one of the main talents of the Danish stage. As part of Tricked he won the V4 Future Sports Festival 2019, becoming an MVP tournament, and after transferring to MAD Lions he became Flashpoint 1 champions.
