Valve Corporation replied to Jamppi regarding VAC ban
Valve Corporation has responded to a claim by Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen, which requires the company to revoke its ban on participation in the majors and a refund of €268,092. This was announced by the Finnish tabloid Ilta-Sanomat, citing a notice from the Uusimaa court.
The court did not provide journalists the content of the e-mail received from Valve Corporation. Jamppi's Lawyer , who specializes in settling disputes in international law, announced the official statement for June 15.
In late March insider Jarek "DeKay" Lewis told about the litigation between Olkkonen and Counter-Strike. Later this data was confirmed by Ilta-Sanomat, which had access to the application of the 18-year-old player in Finnish court.
On April 21, ENCE announced that it had signed a two-year contract with Jamppi despite having a VAC-ban in one of his accounts. The organisation stressed that it would make every effort to lift the lockout imposed on Jamppi, which it considered illegal.
