Valve employee teased community with possible Source 2 transition
CS:GO developer John McDonald in his tweet asked an interesting question . The community of the game saw this as a hidden hint of preparing to move the shooter from Valve to the modern Source Engine 2.

The day before, several insiders said they had reliable information about the upcoming CS:GO transition from the first to the second version of Source. The release may take place in the next two months.
Now Source 2 is used in Dota 2, Half-Life: Alyx and other Valve games. The transition to the new engine will significantly affect the game's graphics and physics, and will allow the developers to release big updates more often.
