Representatives' of the scene reactions to ESL decidision
Following all the upcoming tournaments, the threat of coronavirus spread caused all the tournaments of the first half of 2020 , including the main event - ESL One Rio Major, to shift the dates or move online. This news has not left indifferent most organizations, players, coaches and journalists.
Representatives of the stage agreed that the decision of Valve and ESL is correct, but at the same time asked questions about the system of selection and allocation of quotas. The organizers reported that the teams that won spots in the New Legends Stage and New Challengers Stage are obliged to keep the majority of players in the line-up for an automatic invitation to the tournament. According to the community, 14 months between the two majors will not allow some organizations to approach the tournament in optimal shape.
Great decision by @CSGO / @ESLCS about major

Stay healthy, everyone, please
Only one major in a year is a serious blow to the great competitive history of Counter-Strike.

Might have to wait ____ONE YEAR___ to have a chance to compete at a Major - I can't imagine how Olympians feel if the Olympics are getting cancelled ?

Sucks that the Major is postponed but it was the only decision to be made in light of the current situation.

Hope everyone is being safe and staying at home during this difficult period ✌?
I think @ESLCS Made the right decision. I just wished that because its just one major now that there would be more Teams attending. That would mean that Teams like us still would have a chance. But overall right decision! #gobig

Good decision from Valve to postpone the major. Looking forward to play for 2 millions and a lot of hunger from fans, players and staff for the best major yet to come! Let's go! Stay home and stay safe!
