IEM Melbourne 2020 announced
ESL revealed the first details of IEM Melbourne 2020 with a prize fund of $250,000. The tournament of the prestigious series will take place at the end of August and will be part of the largest Australian esports festival Melbourne Esports Open 2020.

A total of sixteen teams will participate at the IEM Melbourne 2020: ten will receive direct invitations, while the remaining slots will be occupied by the winners of regional qualifiers. The details of the qualifying round will be announced later.
The competition will kick off with a group stage in GSL format. The winners of their groups will go directly to the semifinals of the playoffs to the Single Elimination bracket, while the second and third place teams will fight in the quarterfinals.
