CS:GO sets new peak players record since April 2016
According to the portal Steam Charts on February 2 in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive reached a peak of 827,448 players. This figure is the highest since April 2016, when 850,485 people played Valve shooter at the same time, and the second largest in the history of the game.
At the same time, the average number of players continues to grow. In January the average number of players played was 501.1 thousand, while in the period until February 3 the number increased to 505.4 thousand.

The official release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive took place on August 21, 2012. On the 7th of December, 2018 the game was made free and added a new competitive mode called "Forbidden Zone".
