Creator of the original de_cache Sean "FMPONE" Snelling tweeted that the updated version of the map will appear in CS:GO in October. Before the public release, the developer intends to improve the location in accordance with the first feedback from visitors and professional players ESL One New York 2019, where the new Cache will be presented for the first time.
Sean "FMPONE" Snelling announced the start of work on updating de_cache in November 2018, publishing on his YouTube channel an overview of the preliminary version of point A. In August, the developer announced that the map is ready and will be shown at ESL One New York 2019, and in September, he published a Twitter image of an abandoned café near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which will be used in the design of the location.
The premiere of the updated version of Cache will be held as part of the show match at ESL One New York 2019, which will take place today, September 29, at 18:35 Moscow time. The first to test the map will be the mixes of professional Team Toxic players (Stewie2K, Ethan, nitr0, steel, JaCkz) and Team Squeaky (EliGE, kennyS, tarik, k0nfig, Twistzz).
