Virtus.pro Benches Toao

Virtus.pro has announced that Mateusz "TOAO" Zawistowski was removed from the organization’s active Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.

In a statement released Monday, Virtus.pro revealed that TOAO has been moved to the team’s reserves. TOAO has been an active member of VP since December 2018 when the organization bought out TOAO from fellow Polish organization AGO.

Roman Dvoryankin, General Manager for Virtus.pro, had the following to say regarding TOAO's benching:

“As our CS:GO roster's performance fails to meet our expectations, we have made this decision together with the players. We will announce our future plans following the results of the Charleroi esports LAN-series in April.”

With TOAO moving to the bench, Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski will be assuming the role of in-game leader.

VP also announced that they will be trialing multiple players in the upcoming weeks to replace TOAO. The first player on deck is PACT's Kamil “Sobol” Sobolewski, who will play with Virtus.pro at the IEM Sydney 2019 qualifiers.
