StarLadder to Host Next CS:GO Major at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin

StarLadder will host the next Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, the organization announced Monday.

The StarLadder Major will be the 15th in CS:GO's history. ImbaTV will co-organize the event alongside StarLadder and be its broadcast partner for the Chinese audience. Tickets will go on sale in April.

The run up to the Major will begin with the Europe and Americas Minors July 17-21, followed by the CIS and Asia Minors July 24-28. The Minor Play-in will take place July 29. Qualified teams will play out the Challengers stage Aug. 20-25, then the Legends stage Aug. 27-Sept. 1.

All four Minors and the Minor Play-in will take place in Berlin, but only the Legends stage will move competition to the Mercedes-Benz Arena Sept. 5-8. Up to 14,000 fans will be able to attend.

The prize pools will be the usual $50,000 for each Minor and $1 million for the Major itself. StarLadder will release details about qualifiers in the near future.

The IEM Katowice Major is currently underway.
