CompLexity Gaming Benches Yay and Parts Ways With Rambo
CompLexity Gaming benched Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker and will not extend the contract of coach Ronald "Rambo" Kim, the organization announced Thursday.
The organization made the announcement in the form of a video posted to its official Twitter account. The news comes ahead of an upcoming roster lock that would have kept either individual from joining a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.
Today we're announcing changes to #coLcs.

We will be placing @yay_csgo on the inactive roster and will not be extending coach @RonRamboKim's contract for 2019.
We'd like to thank both of them for their commitment and wish them the best moving forward. pic.twitter.com/AvY1hz0wF4
Yay joined compLexity Gaming in July 2017 and has played with the team ever since. His time with compLexity is highlighted by the team's third-fourth place finish at DreamHack Atlanta, and its fifth-eighth place finish at the FACEIT London Major in September.
Rambo came to compLexity five months after yay, joining as the team's coach in January. He led the team to its high finish at the FACEIT Major.
CompLexity has yet to announce replacements for the roster or coaching staff.
