Golden to Miss ECS Season 6 Finals
Maikil "Golden" Selim will be unable to play for Cloud9 at the ECS Season 6 finals, according to an announcement Thursday by the team ahead of its debut at the tournament.
His role as in-game leader of Cloud9's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team will be filled by the team's coach, Soham "valens" Chowdhury.
Still being unable to compete due to a medical situation, @goldenmajk will not be attending the #ECS6 Grand Finals. Our coach, @valens, will be playing in his place.

This is the second time this month that Golden has been forced to sit out at a CS:GO premier because of undisclosed health problems. Earlier in November, he missed competition because of what the team described as a "medical situation." Valens filled in for him that day, and Golden returned to the lineup for the rest of the tournament.
Golden joined Cloud9's lineup in August , and teammates have largely expressed positivity about his addition. In an interview, Will "RUSH" Wierzba described Golden as the best in-game leader the team had ever fielded.
His absence has already been felt at ECS, as Cloud9 fell to Astralis in its first game of the day.
