North opened up the matches today with a semifinal win over fellow Danish team Fragsters in a 2-0 best-of-three win. Afterward, Luminosity won its' semifinal matchup against Heroic with a 2-1 best-of-three victory. In the finals, North dominated Luminosity with a 2-0 victory to claim the team's second DreamHack Open event title this year.
North was aided by the performance of the team's star player Valdemar "valde" Bjorn Vangsa who put up a 1.88 rating in the final series. Along with valde, Oscar "mixwell" Canellas played great as the team's new stand-in and played up to the expectations of the home crowd.
Luminosity was a surprise to make it to the finals of the event and the team's performance is a big improvement. This is the team's first event with twin brothers Henrique "HEN1" Teles and Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles and shows that both players were an improvement on the team.
With a win at DreamHack Open Tours and DreamHack Open Valencia, a semifinal appearance at Starseries i-League Season 5 and a solid showing at ESL One Cologne, the team is beginning to creep in as a solid tier-two CS:GO team.
As the team has announced that it will be trying out an international model, this result at Valencia encourages the fanbase that the organization is moving in the right direction.
