Mir Finishes Trial With Gambit; Joins Team on a Permanent Basis
Nikolay "mir" Bityukov has finished his trial period with Gambit and will be joining the team on a permanent basis, subsequently leaving Vega Squadron in the process.
Mir started his trial with Gambit CS:GO's roster on May 27 and has attended three LAN's during this period. Mir was taking the place of Denis "seized" Kostin after he was removed from the team's active roster.
Today we're saying goodbye to @KolyaBityukov. He'll continue his career under @GambitEsports' colors.

Previously on Vega Squadron, mir was known as the star of the team and brought the team some success that was uncommon among the team. With the team, mir helped the squad win two CIS Minors and qualify for two majors. At the ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018, Vega Squadron barely missed the playoffs after losing to Cloud9 in a decider match.
Recently, Gambit Gaming has been in a slump and it was one of the reasons for bringing on mir.
With mir on the team, Gambit has not shown to improve its form at all. The team finished last at the Starladder i-League Season 5 event and were unable to secure victories at DreamHack Summer 2018 and the ZOTAC Cup Masters Europe Finals.
Also, Gambit recently withdrew from ESEA MDL due to wanting to focus on recent upcoming LAN events that the team will be attending.
