Official: Splyce leave CS:GO
The announcement from the organisation comes on the heels of the team placing in the Relegation zone of ESL Pro League.
As first reported by Dust2.us, Splyce has now confirmed that they will be dropping out of CS:GO for the time being.
Originally entering CS:GO as FolloweSports.com, the highlight for the organization was undoubtedly a surprise appearance at the MLG Columbus Major in 2016.
Since those heady days, it has been more of a struggle for the organization, with their teams never coming close to reaching that pinnacle again.
Recently, the team found themselves at the bottom of the ESL Pro League Season 7 table, and now must head to Leicester, UK and brave Relegation. Complicating matters is the inability of Zack "XotiC" Elshani to travel due to alleged passport issues, and seeming departure from the squad — given the fact that coach Zach "Eley"Stauffer played in the last two matches of the season.
Just after the EPL transfer deadline, free agent Australian Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland appeared on the Splyce roster. The player is currently inelligible to play for the team, though sources within the team they believe an emergency transfer will be granted.
The roster of ex-Splyce is assumed to be:
Taylor "Drone" Johnson
Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen
David "DAVEY" Stafford
Stephen "reltuC" Cutler
Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland (Stand-in)
Zachary "Eley" Stauffer (Coach)
Taylor "Tailored" Broomall (Analyst)
The contract status of the players is currently unknown.
