Valiance and Space Soldiers Win DreamHack Masters Marseille European Qualifier

The DreamHack Masters Marseille European Qualifier has concluded and Valiance and Space Soldiers have qualified for the main tournament.

Valiance was able to take a qualifying spot by beating Quantum Bellator Fire and Heroic. The team took 2-0 victories in both of the series. Valiance is a relatively new organization started in October. This will be the team's first appearance at an event of this scale.

Space Soldiers had a 2-0 victory over BPro, but faced tougher competition against North. Space Soldiers won the first match in their series against North in a 19:16 overtime victory. North came back to tie up the series 1-1 on the second map. Space Soldiers secured the victory on the last map with a 16:8 victory, taking the series 2-1.

Sixteen Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will compete in Le Dôme de Marseille with a $250,000 prize pot and an Intel Grand Slam slot on the line. The invited teams are Cloud9 Astralis, FaZe Clan, mousesports, SK Gaming, Team EnVyUs, Fnatic, Gambit, Team Liquid, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas and previous DreamHack Masters winners, G2 Esports.

One more team is left to be determined from the North American Qualifiers. Tyloo was able to secure its spot in the Asian Qualifier.
