CS2 average player count falls for eight months in a row

Counter-Strike 2's average monthly player count has declined once again. In October 2026, the game's average number of concurrent players dropped by 1.03% (around 8,000 players) compared to the previous month.

October's peak player count was also down from September's figure, falling from 1.45 million to 1.402 million users. The statistics were provided by the analytics service Steam Charts.

Counter-Strike 2 received several minor and larger updates in October, the most recent of which saw Valve improve the silent reload mechanic.
