Sashi part ways with Australian duo

Sashi have parted ways with Australian players Tynan "TjP" Purtell and Jordan "Hatz" Bajic after a failed attempt to reach the Counter-Strike 2 Major through the Asian VRS region.

The news was announced by the club's owner, who explained that he was unable to so much as discuss the matter with Valve, although a similar situation involving BC.Game was quickly resolved in favor of Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's team.

We wrote to Valve in several different emails. They replied after three days, when I asked whether we could have a call. They replied that they didn’t have time for a call, but that we could write an email. Now almost two weeks have passed without a reply.

BC.Game and Valve sorted it out in one day, so it certainly sounds like Valve is ignoring us. I feel bad about it, because I think it should be the same for everyone. It should be in all sports. It’s preferential treatment, and that has no place in sport.

In my world, it’s very frightening that one team can solve it right away and the other team simply doesn’t get an answer. Why? Then we don’t get a fair chance to build further either.

In early October, Sashi moved Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen and Casper "Cabbi" Jensen to the bench, and the former has since departed. The two Australians took their spots in the lineup. The organization also signed 26-year-old New Zealand AWPer Michael "chelleos" Hawkins to replace Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand, but he left the club after just a couple of days.

The departures leave Sashi with only two players on the active roster. "We have to go back to the drawing board and put together a plan for how the project should look going forward," the owner added.
