Team Spirit, BetBoom Team, and PARIVISION lose their openers at Esports World Cup 2026

First playday of Esports World Cup 2026, currently underway in Paris, has concluded. Today, the participants played 16 matches in the opening round of the group stage.

In Group A, JiJieHao defeated Team Spirit, GamerLegion bested Luminocity, G2 got the better of M80, while BIG prevailed over Aurora. In Group B, Falcons dispatched K27, Astralis took down MIBR, FaZe defeated BetBoom Team, while Legacy bested NIP.

In Group C, Vitality got the better of 100 Thieves, B8 prevailed over PARIVISION, FUT knocked out TYLOO to the lower bracket, while MOUZ dispatched Lynn Vision. In Group D, NAVI won their match against 3DMAX, The MongolZ took down magic, 9z beats paiN, while FURIA defeated Wildcard. All matches were best-of-one.
