BLAST to host CS2 tournament in Mongolia

Tournament operator BLAST announced that the second Counter-Strike 2 event from the Open category will be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in 2027.

The competition will run from May 10th to 23rd and feature a $1.25 million prize pool. Sixteen teams will participate in the tournament: 11 will receive direct invites based on Valve's ranking, while the remaining five will qualify through competitions in Asia, Europe, and North and South America. This will be BLAST's first Tier 1 event in Mongolia.

The company also previously announced the list of invitees to the upcoming BLAST Open Porto 2026, which kicks off in late August.
