OverDrive: SunPayus returns to HEROIC

According to unofficial reports, former ex-G2 Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia will return to HEROIC. Insider and scout Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov announced this via his Telegram channel.

It is unknown who exactly will replace SunPayus on the HEROIC roster. The organization itself has not yet made any official statements regarding this matter. Garcia represented HEROIC from January to June of last year.

Notably, the 27-year-old Spanish esports athlete has been competing for G2 since June of last year; the club benched him a few days ago. The vacant position on the G2 roster has been filled by Artem "r1nkle" Moroz.

Currently, HEROIC is 36th in Valve's official ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams. The squad placed 28th-30th at IEM Cologne Major 2026.
