StarLadder StarSeries Season 22 announced

Tournament organizer StarLadder has announced the 22nd edition of the StarSeries Counter-Strike 2 tournament series, which will take place from May 16 to 21, 2028. The format, prize pool, venue, and other details about the upcoming event will be revealed at a later date.

The company had previously also shared details regarding StarSeries Season 20 – a tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 event scheduled for September 16-20, 2026, in a Schengen Area country. At the same time, StarLadder cancelled its spring 2026 event and confirmed that another tier 1 CS2 competition will be held in October 2027.

Notably, StarLadder hosted a Counter-Strike 2 Major at the end of last year. The tournament was held from November 24 to December 14, 2025, in Budapest, Hungary. 32 squads competed for a total prize pool of $1.25 million, with Vitality defeating FaZe with a scoreline of 3-1 in the grand final. Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut was crowned the MVP of the event.
